Franklin Hospice is about providing the best possible, specialist palliative in-home care to patients, their families and whanau living with a life threatening illness.
Covering an area from Drury in the north, to Miranda and Mercer in the south and including all of the Awhitu Peninsula, Franklin Hospice has been servicing the Franklin District for 25 years.
With the growing demand for its services Franklin Hospice needs to raise a further $350,000 each year from the community.
This year the funds raised from the Garden Ramble will be used for social services to assist families and carers to cope with the emotional needs of caring for patients.
The organisers of the Barfoot and Thompson Franklin Hospice Garden Ramble are part of the volunteer team and have considerable experience in the creation, organisation and management of events.
